Reviews
Mango Lasso served in a single use plastic cup. Food is about average. Entering the restaurant passing cigarette butts on the floor.
I am astonished for the reviews being good.
Server told us bc the Keene outlet is better.
Not coming back.
Outstanding. We had butter chicken (creamier than tikka masala), beef rogan josh (lots of beef!), baingan bharta (eggplants), vegetables hakka noodles (similar to Chinese lo mein), sweet and mango lassi. Every single dish was good. Service was great, very pleasant and polite staff. We’ve been to many Indian places throughout MA and this is on par with some of the best! Highly recommend Royal Spice in Troy!
Hands down the best Indian food in the Monadnock region. 😎 we had a large group and ordered ahead but they really weren't ready for us because it was Saturday night. I always like the food here but our group was so hungry! Still it's a very nice restaurant and I highly recommend it.
My family went into this restaurant and saw the sign "Wait to Be Seated". There was only a young child of about seven or eight sitting alone in the entrance/lobby with no adults or staff around. After a couple of minutes the little girl said she'd seat us at a table. It was sweet that she'd seat us, but as a mom and a social worker, I felt it wasn't a good situation for her to be alone with no supervision. We wouldn't feel comfortable leaving our child alone like that. Once we were in the restaurant I could see that it wouldn't pass a safety inspection or a health inspection. When food was being refilled on the buffet the server just dumped new food on top of old food not changing out the pans. They weren't wearing gloves or a hair net, which explained a hair in the food. The food itself was hit or miss. The lentil Dahl was good, but the other dishes were either dry or bland. The pudding was frozen in the middle, another dessert curdled. There were also hot plug in wax candles low to the ground that I almost bumped into. I've never seen those in a restaurant and wondered why an Indian restaurant would need artificial floral fragrance. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants and have never left a negative review. We know what good Indian cuisine is. Unfortunately, Royal Spice missed the mark on every level.
We enjoyed a good dinner out and I'd go again but the experience was a bit mixed. The atmosphere is diner like with bench seating and fast-food service. Some dishes were excellent (5 stars) such as cilantro garlic naan, aloo Gobi, Veg Chettinad and samosa but others were a bit meh (chicken Tikka masala sauce was bland, rice pudding was served in a plastic tub from the fridge and was hard, and mango Lassi was oddly orange). We ordered some dishes medium and couldn't taste any heat, so maybe takes a while to find right calibration. Overall, will be back.
5 out of 5 naan breads. Great food and great friendly staff. We will be coming back!
This is one of the best Indian restaurants we have found in NH (we've been to at least 5 here and many others in other places). The food and service are great. I highly recommend it.
Awesome Diwali feast, great food, great choices, the lamb, the goat, the fish, the kofta... The somosas, pakora, chai, lassis... The have it all plus kind and helpful family atmosphere and good prices. Also some beer and wine if that's your thing. Will go back, again and again. 😍 …
